About the artist

I am a young woman living in Quebec City, who has been nurturing a passion for nature and sculpture for several years. Creating Nature Sculptures has been my way of merging both passions into one.

I now enjoy sharing my passion with others as I continue to slowly carve my path in life.

About the work

Everything I create is first crafted out of stoneware or porcelain clay. I use only my hands in order to obtain the desired shape, and details are made using a needle and a paintbrush. Each creation is thus unique as there can never be two which are identical.

A first firing takes place in order to harden the clay so that it can be manipulated and glazed. The whole firing process is done over three days as the specialized kiln must be allow several hours of preheating and cooling down between each long firing. Once the final coloration is added a second firing takes place at around 2230F.

All my firings are done by trusted specialists, in a local ceramic studio where I have had the pleasure to meet many inspiring and talented artists.

100% Handmade

While I sometimes make items which are similar in themes shapes or colors, each are fully hand sculpted and, therefore, no two can be identical. For this reason, I take photos of each and every piece individually. The item you see in the photo is the exact item which you will receive.

I only use products and materials that are safe for everyone (including myself) and, as much as possible, I try to go the eco-friendlier routes however I can. One example is my refusal to own a kiln. Since my creations tend to be small, or downright tiny, I prefer to fit them between the larger bowls and vases made by other artists at the studio. No kilns are ever fired only for my work. The space I do take is usually so small that it seldom can be filled in by another.
